Hróbjartur is a Supreme Court Attorney since 1990. He has extensive experience in litigation before all levels of court, in addition to extensive experience in the fields of financial law, competition law, bankruptcy law, corporate law, entertainment law and contract law.


Hróbjartur began his career as a representative at the law firm of Arnmundur Backman from 1984 to 1986. He was a co-founder of Almenna málflutningsstofan sf., later AM Praxis, and worked there from 1986 to 2005, when he founded Jónatansson & Co Legal.


Hróbjartur holds an LL.M. degree from the University of Virginia (1999) and is a certified securities broker.

Jónatan Hróbjartsson, LL.M.

Jónatan Hróbjartsson is an Attorney at Law, licensed to practice before the District Courts in Iceland since 2021. He started working at Jónatansson & Co. Legal in 2020. Jónatan has extensive experience in numerous areas of law, including tort law, claims and contract law, financial law, bankruptcy law, and labor law.


Jónatan holds an LL.M. degree from Duke University of Law (2024) and is a certified securities broker.

Valgerdur Johannesdottir

Valgerður is the CFO of Jónatansson & Co and has worked as such since 2009. Before that, Valgerður worked as the CFO and HR Manager at the Icelandic Cancer Society.
